Entities: Ones We See and Clear and the Ones That Rule our Everyday Lives

How Energetic Attachments Mirror Our Consumer Ones

In the spiritual community, the word entity is often whispered with reverence or caution. It evokes unseen energies that attach to us, influence our thoughts, fuel our fears, or drain our light. Many spiritual practitioners spend years learning how to clear cords, release attachments, strengthen their energy bodies, and cultivate sovereignty of consciousness.

But few ever notice that the same word “entity” is used for something far more mundane: companies, corporations, institutions, brands, governments, groups, and lifestyles.

  • Both are “entities.”
  • Both interact with us energetically.
  • Both can shape our thoughts, influence our choices, fuel our emotions, and redirect our life force.
  • Both have manifesting power within the world if we align with them or allow them to influence our thoughts and beliefs.

Yet we treat one with vigilance… and the other with indifference, probably because we don’t know how to deal with this type of interference as it is so conditioned into how we live our lives.

Solar Power

Solar Power

When you stop chasing borrowed light, the sun within remembers how to shine.

This card invites you to reflect on how you hold, use, and source power—both in your relationships and in your connection with the greater world. Are you fully plugged into your own inner source, or have you been unconsciously seeking power outside yourself? Perhaps you’ve become too dependent on systems, structures, or people to energize you. Or you could be giving too much of your power away, allowing others to plug into you in unhealthy ways—and in doing so, your inner battery has run low.

It may be time to reclaim your power. Ask yourself:

  • Are you living passively, or stepping forward as a co-creator?
  • Are you drained from trying to please or conform, or are you aligned with your soul’s current?
  • Is your life running on borrowed energy, or is it fueled by the true light within?

Sometimes, the simplest shift can help restore your charge: a moment in the sun, barefoot on the earth, or time spent unplugged from media and replugged into nature. Let the sun itself be your metaphor. You don’t need to plug into something artificial when the source is above you—and within you—all along.

On a more global level, this card also calls attention to our relationship with external power sources. Much of the energy we use is drawn from systems that pollute, extract, and deplete. But just like with personal power, we can begin to imagine new possibilities—ones where we give less away and cultivate more from within. This may mean advocating for alternative energy, finding ways to reduce dependence on the grid, or becoming more self-sustaining in ways big or small.

When you reclaim your power—both personally and planetarily—you become a light that doesn’t flicker. You become a source.

A Gentle Blessing for the Road Ahead
May you rise each day with your spirit lit by inner truth. May you rest knowing the sun is always shining, even behind clouds. And may you remember: your soul is not a receiver of power. It is a beacon of it.

When you stop chasing borrowed light, the sun within remembers how to shine.

In the reversed image, the solar lights fall into the sun and burn to ash. This is a reminder that even the most beautiful lights can extinguish when they push too close to the source without proper grounding.

This card reversed speaks to the risk of burnout, especially when your energy is fueled by pressure, perfectionism, or external validation rather than joy or alignment. You may be trying too hard to shine, give, or perform. In doing so, you’re running on fumes. Or perhaps you’ve been swept into a power dynamic that asks too much of you, depleting your reserves in the name of duty, identity, or success.

At a collective level, this card warns against over-amplifying our “solar” tendencies—overproduction, overexposure, overconsumption—without honoring the balance that the earth (and the body) needs. It calls us back from that edge, back into harmony with natural rhythms.

Power, when forced or unsustainably drawn, will always collapse in on itself. Like Icarus flying too close to the sun, even the noblest ascent needs balance, humility, and pacing.

If you’ve drawn this card, you’re being gently asked to re-evaluate how you’re using your energy, and whether your ambition or service is coming from fear or love, pressure or purpose. Maybe it’s time to dim the brightness a little—not to disappear, but to glow from within more sustainably.

You don’t have to prove your light.
You are the light.
But even light needs rest.

Reflective Prompts:

  • Where are you overextending or trying to hold too much?
  • Are you pursuing power, success, or validation in a way that’s burning you out?
  • How can you reconnect with sustainable sources of energy—body, spirit, and earth?

A Gentle Blessing for the Road Ahead
May you rise each day with your spirit lit by inner truth. May you rest knowing the sun is always shining, even behind clouds. And may you remember: your soul is not a receiver of power. It is a beacon of it.
