Do You Want to Create an Oracle or Tarot Deck But Don’t Know Where to Start?
In this course,, I will offer tips, tricks, and resources for designing your own cards. This course covers hiring artists, manipulating free or paid images, creating a template, finding a printer, print-on-demand sources, writing your manual (editing tools), and other details. I take almost everything I’ve learned over the years, offering it to those who want to create a deck but don’t know where to start. I offer ways to take some of the overwhelm out of the process, helping you find resources, free and paid software, and other sources of help.
Facebook Group
As part of the course, I created a Facebook group called Design Your Own Tarot or Oracle Cards to support students with designing their oracle decks or answering any questions they have.
Physical Workbook
A physical workbook with all the information in this course is available through my Etsy shop. This workbook is the same information as within the course, providing chart, questions, and workspace for you to jot down ideas.
There is a section with videos demonstrations for creating a card template using Phtoshop or Photopea, a demonstration for creating a card template using Krita, a demonstration for creating and uploading cards to Make Playing Cards, and these demonstrations include tips for using Photoshop brushes and filters.
Yes. It has a lot of information on the types of decks you can create (such as text-based decks) as well as where to find artists to help you create a deck or how to use paid or free stock images. There are also walkthroughs on how to use a free Photoshop clone called Photopea.
This is more of an informational course. There are no quizzes but there are downloadable worksheets. Some have questions to help you come up with ideas for your decks. Some are worksheets you can print and use to chart ideas for cards, card titles, image ideas, and to brainstorm in other ways.
