I See….

I see a dazzling sun by day… I see a mellow moon by night… I see many stars that glisten in a sky so high… I see with eyes that give them names… and a mind that calls them "bright"… though all shine so very different or so my mind would think was right… and the moon does not shine of itself at all… and yet it glows… a reflection of the sun's sun-light… and my words here hold no meaning… all labels gathered from a distant past… where I learned what each convey… and onto a world such words were cast…...

Wound…

not quite stabbed, a knife glides across my tender back… my flesh responds, not right away with pain, for it takes time for cuts to burn and sting. scars from many other wounds linger close nearby… resting on my back behind me… a place I cannot reach, nor grasp to offer balm so well… a place left helpless for what seems another’s balm to find.
